When you create an account, we store your email address, account creation date, and subscription tier.

Usage data

We may collect information about how you use the Service to improve performance and diagnose issues.

Location data

If you use the “My Location” feature, your device's location is used locally within your browser to show your position. We do not store or transmit your location to our servers.

Platform issue reports

When you submit a platform issue report, we store the issue type, description, your email address, and any photographs you upload. This information is visible to the aerodrome operator assigned to that location and to administrators.

Uploaded images

Photographs uploaded as part of platform issue reports are stored securely and retained for as long as the associated report exists.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as merchant of record. We do not store your credit card or payment details. We retain only the transaction reference, purchase status, and amount for our records.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for
• Legitimate interest: improving Service performance, preventing fraud, and maintaining security
• Consent: sending MMS weather alert texts (you can opt out at any time from your account settings)
• Legal obligation: retaining records as required by applicable law

• Provide and maintain the Service
• Authenticate your account and enforce subscription tier access

• Facilitate platform issue reporting between pilots and operators

• Send MMS weather alert texts (with your consent, Aviator and Operator subscribers)

Your data is stored and processed in the Asia-Pacific region. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, access controls, and server-verified authentication. No system is completely secure, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.

6. Third-Party Services

To operate the Service, we engage trusted third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, payments, mapping, weather data, aircraft tracking, tidal data, SMS delivery, and error monitoring. Each provider processes only the data necessary for their function and operates under their own privacy policy. We do not share personal data with third parties except as necessary to operate the Service or as required by law.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use the following storage mechanisms:

• Authentication cookies: essential session cookies to maintain your logged-in state. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function.
• Local storage: used to persist UI preferences (sidebar state, dismissed banners, map favourites). This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or advertising networks.

8. Data Retention

• Account data: retained for as long as your account is active
• Platform reports and images: retained indefinitely as part of the aerodrome maintenance record
• Weather observations: retained indefinitely for historical analysis
• Payment records: retained for 7 years as required for financial record-keeping
• Deleted accounts: personal information is removed within 30 days of account deletion, except where retention is required by law

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data — request corrections to your personal information
• Delete your account and data — request removal of your personal information
• Withdraw consent — opt out of MMS weather alert texts at any time from your account settings
